The Tiger by John Vaillant

Just finished reading The Tiger by John Vaillant this week. It's a very fascinating read.

The tiger’s world, by contrast, is not only amoral but peculiarly consequence-free, and this-the atavistic certainty that there is nothing more lethal than itself-is the apex predator’s greatest weakness.

The book is not just a story about the Amur tigers, which is cool in of itself, but there is safety-net between two communist states that enables this cat of the East Siberian Taiga.
